The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has imposed a visa ban on Nigerians seeking to visit the country.
In a notice released by Destination Management Companies (DMCs), an entity which is licenced to issue UAE visas, it was revealed that all current visa applications from Nigerians have been put on hold.
The notice read, “All Dubai applications submitted are now rejected. It is generally for Nigerians, and approvals are on hold at the moment. “Kindly advise your clients to resubmit C2=A0 applications when the issue is resolved between both governments.”
The exact reason why the ban was imposed was not revealed, but it’s said that there is an issue that has to be resolved between Nigeria and the UAE. However, all Nigerians with approved visas can proceed with travelling to the UAE.
