Wanted murder suspect, 37, nabbed in hospital

KwaZulu-Natal: A 37-year-old wanted murder suspect has been arrested after he was found admitted to a hospital following an accidental discharge of a firearm.   According to Lieutenant Colonel Nqobile Gwala, police officers from the Provincial Organised Crime Unit were called to a hospital as two brothers were admitted to a hospital located in Ladysmith due to an accidental discharge of a firearm.

 Siyabonga was killed on route to a funeral

“It was established that one of the brothers, aged 37, was wanted in the murder case where Siyabonga ‘Nginga’ Zwane (46) was shot and killed on June 22nd, 2022 at Emabhekazi in Ekuvukeni,” said Gwala   The murder victim was on route to a funeral when he was allegedly shot and killed by Gwala. Two other victims were transported to a hospital for medical attention.   According to investigations, Zwane was the chairman of a taxi association based in Gauteng. The suspect is set to appear at the Ladysmith Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 24, 2022, on charges of murder.
