KZN – The body of a four-month-old baby was discovered floating in a river on Saturday morning in Isitheba.
According to reports, IPSS Medical Rescue and the South African Police Services (SAPS) responded to the scene after receiving reports of a baby floating in a river.
According to reports, the baby is said to have gone missing the previous evening during loadshedding and couldn’t be found despite attempts by the family and community searching throughout the night.
“This morning, members of the community spotted the body while they were walking next to the river,” said Ipss Medical Rescue.
There are currently ongoing investigations by SAPS to find the circumstances surrounding the baby’s death.
