Fifteen people have sustained severe injuries after being attacked by a hungry leopard in a small village in India. According to reports, the beast attacked people at the Rain Forest Research Institute in Chenijan, India, on Monday, December 26, after being said to be hungry and in search of food. Confirming the attack to the local media, Ranjit Konwar, from the institute, said:
“The leopard attacked two forest officers in the morning, “The animal has become very aggressive, and we have laid traps inside the campus to capture it; efforts are on to track it.” “Some residents had a close shave as the leopard was roaming in their courtyards.”
  A video shared online showed the moment the leopard leaped over a gate before running away.   Among the others injured were two children and a woman.
