The nine-year-old boy who was presumed to have drowned has now been confirmed dead, as his body was recovered on Thursday morning.
IspotDaily previously reported that a nine-year-old pre-teenager was presumed dead after he disappeared under the water while swimming with his friends in a river.
Search efforts for the body of the child continued earlier this morning, and the body was recovered and handed over to Ndwedwe SAPS.
