A 33-year old KwaZulu-Natal man committed suicide after allegedly having an argument with his girlfriend in Waterloo on Friday morning (09 September 2021).
It is said that the body of the male was found hanging from a rafter in the toilet by a resident of the communal residence. The man cut the canvas rope and called Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) for assistance.

“RUSA officers and RUSA medics arrived on the scene at approximately 09:04. Upon examination, the man showed no signs of life and was declared deceased,” said RUSA.

According to other residents, they allegedly heard him arguing with his girlfriend, who lives further down the road. The deceased returned to his room and then proceeded to the communal toilet, where he took his life.
It is said that the deceased was the manager of the establishment.
