Sex worker accused a 18 year old client of raping her | KZN

A 18 year old KwaZulu-Natal man was arrested after a sex worker accused him of rape in the Verulam CBD on Friday afternoon. It is said that Reaction Unit South Africa was on patrol in the CBD when they were stopped by a pedestrian on the corner of Wick & Todd street who informed them that he heard a woman screaming for help in a vacant plot.

“The officer investigated further and discovered the teenager having sexual intercourse with the female” said RUSA

According to the 28 year old female who admitted to being a sex worker, she was approached by the teenager who negotiated payment for her services. They then proceeded to an empty space and engaged in a sexual intercourse in the overgrown vegetation. After they were done the teenager refused to pay her and allegedly raped her when she started screaming for assistance. When the suspect was asked he informed RUSA’s officers that he decided to rape the sex worker after she failed to satisfy his sexual needs. The suspect was arrested and handed over to Verulam SAPS.
