Three suspects aged between 23 and 33 were arrested for the murder of 35 years oldest Judith Baloyi from Thapane Village in Bolobedu South in the Tzaneen policing area after he went missing on Saturday afternoon (11 June 2022).

It is said that Baloyi was reported missing on Tuesday (14 June 2022) after failing to return home. It was then that a Polite case was opened at Tzaneen Police and the case was handed over to The Detective unit who began investigations.
According to reports later that day police received information that Baloyi was seen walking with four managers who were known to him. One of the managers was traced and he revealed that Baltimore Body was dumped at the Marama Dam near Deerpark.
A search and rescue operation was launched immediately by the police and K9 unit in search of Baloyi’s Body at the dam, fortunately, his body was spotted floating and was successfully retrieved.
Preliminary Investigations revealed that Baloyi was assaulted and succumbed to his injuries before being dumped in the dam. Police are still searching for the remaining suspect.
The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has since commended the officers for the swift arrest of the suspects. “The excellent detective work and well-coordinated operation by these members is highly commendable. This is a clear indication that Police will stop at nothing to ensure that justice prevails,” concluded Hadebe.
