Tragedy has struck a family after 40-year-old Gareth Blenkins from the United Kingdom (UK) slumped and died in front of his family on Christmas day.
Gareth Blenkins, who was a father of one, was said to have been laughing and joking on Christmas day, and he went outside for a cigarette, but fell to the ground and died in front of his family when he got back.
Gareth was spending the day with his family in Cottingley, Yorkshire, when the tragedy unfolded. Gareth was rushed to Leeds General Infirmary but died from a suspected heart attack, according to reports.

He had been “laughing and joking” and nipped outside for a cigarette in the evening, but when he returned, “he just clutched his chest and fell to the floor and started having a fit,” according to cousin Damien Sharpe.
“His brain went for too long without oxygen.” Unfortunately, he did not change his mind.Damien added.
Damien said: “He was strong; he’d do anything for anybody; he was very protective.” Sometimes he’d be quite shy, but if he noticed you were sad, he’d always say, “Do you need a Blenkins cuddle?” “I’ll never forget those words.”
Gareth died leaving his 15-year-old son, his wife, and some family members.
