The mother of popular South African musician Mampintsha, Zamanguni Gumede, has allegedly been denied access to her son’s body.
According to
Ezivuthayo Emaputoland, the Kwaito musician’s mother, Zamanguni Gumede, has been prohibited from seeing her son since he passed away.
Recall that Mampintsha, whose real name is
Mandla Maphumulo, died on December 24, 2022, at the age of 40.
It’s also gathered that the “Ngeke Ngvume” singer’s sister and manager are the ones with the papers that decide who sees his body.
“Mampintsha’s sister Pinky has also reportedly said that they [the Maphumulo family] have found out that they will not be included in the funeral arrangements,” the paper said.
“We don’t know what we have done wrong because we did not have disagreements with anyone.” They are even denying Mampintsha’s father access. “My mother wants to see her son, and this has taken a toll on her health,” Pinky allegedly said.
