6 year old boy accidentally shot and killed his 5 year old sister

Warning: This story may upset sensitive readers EC – Police in Betherlsdorp have opened a case of defeating the ends of justice after a 6 year old boy ‘accidentally shot’ and killed his 5 year old sister on Friday Afternoon (11 August 2022).

According to reports it is alleged that three children, two boys (6) and a girl (5) were playing in a room with a firearm at a house in extension 31 when a firearm went off. It was alleged that one of the boys accidentally shot the girl in the head with a .38 revolver. The girl was then taken to a hospital by ambulance and it is said that she was in a critical condition but sadly passed away that night. When police arrived at the scene the firearm was allegedly removed and couldn’t be located. A case of defeating the ends of justice has since been opened and more charges could be added as investigations are still underway.
