KZN man shot and killed during a robbery

A Kwazulu Natal man was shot and killed during a robbery at an informal settlement in Buffelsdraai on Saturday morning (16 July 2022). It is said that Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call from Verulam SAPS requesting medical assistance at about 1am. RUSA Medics were then dispatched to the scene where they found the victim lying in a pool of blood on the floor in his house. It is said that the man had sustained a single gunshot to his face and died on the scene. According to reports, the deceased was approached by two unknown men when he got out of his house to fetch a bucket. The suspects then forced him into the house where they robbed him and his girlfriend for their cellphones and money. The deceased allegedly resisted as a result, he was shot. The robbers fled the scene and the female was not injured.
