The South African police services in the Eastern Cape have put up a reward of R200 000 for information that will lead to the apprehension of  Namhla Mtwa’s killer.

The 35-year-old Municipal Worker was found murdered at her home on the evening of 21 April 2022. It is said that Mtwa was allegedly shot and murdered inside her car by an unidentified suspect whilst arriving at her Sidwadwa home.

It is believed that her death comes after years of abuse as photos of her bruised up along with WhatsApp messages popped up and started circulating on social media.

An intensive and sensitive investigation is currently underway in order to track, trace and arrest the culprit. The cash reward is therefore offered as part of the ongoing investigation process and to any individual who can provide information that will lead to the arrest, successful prosecution, and subsequent conviction of the suspect responsible for the murder of the late Namhla Mtwa.
