Ayanda Daweti (born in 1990), well-known as Tuckshop Bafanaz, is an award-winning South African actor and musician.

He is one of the actors in the serial Sandal that captured the hearts of the fans. He played Chumani Langa in the E.tv television series.

Daweti is also a musical with many hit songs to his name. He is behind Amadabi, Indlela, and Thongo Lam, among others.

His ability to make his character relatable to the viewers stands him out.

Another role that gained him prominence is on the television series Gomora where he plays Sizwe.

Early Life
Ayanda Daweti was born in 1990 in Tsolo, a town in the Eastern Cape province in South Africa. He grew up in Tsolo.

At thirteen, he lost his biological mother, Nomalizo Daweti, to heart complications. She died in her sleep.

Young Ayanda moved to Mhlakulo, Tsolo, in the Eastern Cape. He lived under the care of his aunt Stella Sondaba and grandmother Nomonde Sondaba.

After living under their roof for years, he relocated to Johannesburg for greener pastures.

After matric, Daweti moved to Cape Town to study IT and Arts at the Tshwane University of Technology in Pretoria.

As an actor, Ayanda landed one of his biggest roles on television on the E.tv soap opera Scandal! On the show, he appeared as Chumani Langa, a role younger than his age in real life.

The 32-year-old is an award-winning actor. He bagged the Golden Horn Awards for the Best Made for TV Movie at the 2018 SAFTAs for his film, Okae Molao.

Ayanda landed a supportive role in the television series Blood Psalms in 2020.

Ayanda Daweti is a fast-rising figure in the music scene with the stage name Tuckshop Bafanaz.

Ayanda ventures into music in respect of his aunt and dropped his first EP, which houses six tracks. In 2019, the singer dropped an album dedicated to his late mother.

Personal Life
The actor appears younger than his age and plays roles that match his looks.

In 2007, he fell in love with Xola and asked her out. They started dating, and sadly, she died in 2010.

Ayanda lost his girlfriend to a tragic car accident in 2010. He did a song Xola for her remembrance. Ayanda married to Aaliyah, a bald model, in 2022.
